Upgrades, downgrades, invoices, card updates, cancellations, and how trial + Pro tiers differ.

Blazeboard is sold as hardware you own, plus an optional Cloud plan that adds multi-device management, team invites, POS sync, and automatic backups. Your devices keep running if you cancel — you just lose the cloud-side features.

Trial with Server Kit

When you buy a Server Kit bundled with a Cloud subscription, Blazeboard includes a free trial of the Cloud plan. The trial starts when your hardware arrives and ends automatically — your first subscription charge comes after it expires, unless you cancel first.

Manage billing

Billing lives at blazeboard.co/dashboard/billing. From there you can:

  • See your current plan and next renewal date.
  • Update the card on file via the Stripe customer portal.
  • Download invoices as PDF.
  • Upgrade from Free to Cloud, or change billing interval (monthly ↔ annual).
  • Cancel your subscription.

Upgrade or downgrade

  1. 1
    Upgrading Free → Cloud

Go to /dashboard/billing, choose a monthly or annual cart, and check out. The upgrade takes effect immediately — Cloud features light up within a minute.

  2. 2
    Switching monthly ↔ annual

From the billing page, switch the interval. Stripe prorates the change: if you switch to annual mid-cycle, you pay the annual amount minus credit for the unused portion of the month. Annual saves versus monthly over a year — exact numbers on the pricing page.

  3. 3
    Downgrading Cloud → Free

Downgrading is a cancellation (see below). Your Cloud features keep working until the end of your current billing period, then switch off. The hardware keeps running the entire time.

Cancel your Cloud plan

  1. 1
    Open the billing page

    Visit /dashboard/billing.

  2. 2
    Click Cancel

We’ll ask a quick reason (too expensive, missing a feature, not using it, other) so we know how to improve. No hard sell — just feedback.

  3. 3
    Confirm

Your subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period. Until then, every Cloud feature keeps working. You can reactivate with one click if you change your mind before the period ends.

Refunds

Refunds aren’t self-serve today — we handle them case-by-case over email. If you were just charged and realized you meant to cancel, open a support ticket or email [email protected] and we’ll get you sorted quickly.

Troubleshooting

  • Card declined. Update it via the Stripe portal link on the billing page. Stripe will retry the charge automatically on their standard schedule.
  • Invoice email didn’t arrive. Download the PDF from the Stripe portal — every invoice is there, even if the email landed in spam.
  • I want to change the billing email. Update it in Stripe’s portal (the email for invoices) and in Blazeboard’s /dashboard/team (the email for your account).
  • My devices are offline — do I still get charged? Yes. The Cloud plan is a per-organization subscription, not a per-device usage charge. If you need to pause, cancel via the billing page.
  • Anything else billing-related. Email [email protected] — we reply quickly.
